The Queen's Award for Enterprise
In 2009, Albourne was honoured for the second time with The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade for the company’s outstanding achievement for advice to investors in hedge funds, having won the award in 2006. The Queen’s Award scheme was introduced in 1966, originally as The Queen’s Award to Industry before becoming known as The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 1999. Her Majesty The Queen makes the awards on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an advisory committee that includes representatives of government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions.
